Shanker A. Singham Testifies Before the US House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts and Competition Policy on China’s New Antimonopoly Law

Squire Sanders partner Shanker A. Singham recently testified on behalf of the US Chamber of Commerce before the US House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts and Competition Policy. Mr. Singham, with a practice focus on antitrust, international antitrust and international trade law including WTO and market access issues, addressed China’s recently implemented Anti-Monopoly Law or AML. The US Chamber of Commerce believes internal trade barriers are anti-competitive market distortions that damage consumer welfare and called upon China to avoid using the AML to protect its state-owned enterprises and distort its market.
